The power you draw from the grid typically contains two types of electric energy:
The problem is, you pay the full cost of reactive energy transmission even when the equipment that normally needs it is not being used. That’s where we come in.
The Pro Series Energy Saver stores reactive energy onsite, and applies it only when inductive loads like motors, transformers and fluorescent lights actually need it. It does this using high quality capacitors custom-sized to your system. Installed near inductive loads, capacitors are the most economical and efficient way of supplying reactive energy.
On the spot delivery means the reactive energy you draw from the grid is dramatically reduced. This relieves both you and your utility of the cost of carrying this extra load. It also helps reduce your peak demand, the upper limit used to calculate your overall utility rate.
Without this kind of conditioning, you will always pay for more energy than you actually use. With the Pro Series Energy Saver, however, you avoid most, if not all, of these unnecessary costs.
Every electrical system performs at some degree of efficiency. The measure of that efficiency is called the Power Factor. High Power Factors mean less wasted energy and greater efficiency.
Power Factor is a ratio of Active Power (power output) to Apparent Power (power supplied) and is generally expressed as a decimal or percentage. Depending on the application, low Power Factors may hover around 60 or 70 percent, while Power Factors produced by the Pro Series Energy Saver climb closer to 95 percent or better.
That’s what happens when high quality capacitors are introduced to your system. By effectively managing Active and Reactive energies you also add system capacity, improve voltage levels and reduce power losses.
In areas where a peak demand clause or some form of low power factor penalty is assessed by your utility the Pro Series Energy Saver lowers your power bill by reducing kVA or kVAR demand.
If a system has an existing overload, our capacitors may eliminate it. If the system is not overloaded, the Pro Series Energy Saver releases additional capacity, thereby helping you avoid new investments in more expensive transformers, switchgear and cabling.
Excessive voltage drops can make your motors sluggish and cause them to overheat. Low voltage also interferes with your lights, motor controls and electronics. The Pro Series Energy Saver maintains more consistent voltage levels throughout your system, including feeder lines right out to the last motor. Overall performance improves — and so does production.
While doing all this, the Pro Series Energy Saver protects your entire system against power surges up to 50,000 volts. It’s also easy to install and requires no special cooling or maintenance.
The Pro Series Energy Saver reduces overall energy consumption while allowing your equipment to operate at peak efficiencies. You experience fewer mechanical problems, less maintenance, increased equipment life, and lower overhead costs:
Ideal for both sensitive circuitry and heavier applications:
The Pro Series Energy Saver has storage capacitors. We run five wires out of the box and directly to a breaker that we install on your main panel or sub-panel(s) after correctly sizing your facility and knowing the requirements for the size breakers and the correct box or boxes needed. Three of the wires run to each phase. We then attach a wire from the Pro Series Energy Saver to the ground and one to the neutral. The configuration and patented design of the storing capacitors attaching to the ground and neutral. The Pro Series Energy Saver balances your voltage to prevent spikes and sags and allows the stored power to be available instantly for use when it’s needed, for example on a hot day and the HVAC is robbing power from other equipment just to start.
